Learning journal #11

I learned a lot about English writing in this class, It's inculding vocabelary, grammer, and the structure of English writing. After studied this class, I found that there are many grammer mistakes in my paragraph and the vocabelary error, And it takes me about 3 hours to finish one assignment becouse I have to pay a lot of time searching vocabelary I did't know. I hope I can write English assignmet quickly in the future.

Learning journal#10

We used the on-line source to learn how to write letters this weekend. Using this way to learn how to write letters is very usefull for me, becouse it makes me understand the rules about the epistolography by myself. Besides, when I send e-mail to my panpel I will be confident that I will not have any mistake in my letters.

Learning journal#9

The same as before, I saw many diffrence classmates's assiment in the class this weekend. Everyone are improving about their assiment. I can know what problem I have from the comvents of my assiment. Such as contractions words (dont't, it's) are not allowed in academic writing.

Today we saw our assigment in the class, everyone did grammer mistakes including me, I'd better to notice the maistakes and correct it, it will improve my writing on the assigment.

Learning Journal #7

We discussed the difference between Home schooling and Public Schooling in the States at this week. We found many good points about Home schooling, but most of them are about commoditization which I think it's not helpful for learning. Then we watched the video and listened to the differences between Home schooling and Public Schooling in the U.S., but I couldn't understand what they were discussing about, maybe I have work on my listening ability.

Recently, I am addicted to watch American series like Prison Break, Heroes, The 4400...etc. I think it's good to improve tone and listening ability. When watching the series I try not to see the subtitle in order to learn faster.

I read the asssignment and the replies from other classmates's blogs. By doing that, I can find out the disadvantages from the replies and correct my own article. I think it is a good way for beginners to improve their writing skills.

Learning journal #4

We filled out the topic sentence for the article we praticed in class this week. It's difficult to write a good topic sentence but we can find some clues from the article. I think more pratice will help me write better.

Our homework is to read other classmates's article and give them some advices. I read some classmates's atricle and felt they have very clearly topic sentance and the supports, so I write my article again by making an ourline at first,It's makes my article become better.

Learning journal # 2

Today I learned about how to write fluent English in the class. It must have topic sentence which is the main idea in whole paragraph. Beside topic sentence, we must write the reasons why we use this sentence to be the topic sentence and support the details. To support the reasons are not the main problem to me, TO using correct grammar and spelling is diffcult to me. I have to practice grammar and memorialize vacobuary more.

Learning journal #1

Today I began to memorize some vocabulary from the website."Vocabulary Exercises for the AWL.” Both sublist 1 and 2 has some familiar words that I’ve already learn in the past; however, most of them are new for me. I’m planning to spend one or two more days memorizing all the words and afterwards start to do the exercises in the website. I hope it will help my English.

My name is Keran, I am 22 years old. I am now a senior in NTUST and I major in computer information and science engineering which for the past two years was not very easy for me. My hobbies is playing volleyball, listening to music, sleeping and raising dogs. I have been playing volleyball for seven years and playing volleyball is my greatest interest and pride. I have been a member of school volleyball team since high school. I like dogs very much and I have two cute daschunds with my girlfriend; Chestnut is one year old and Bean is only three months old. My favorite band is MayDay. I think they are very talented and hard working musicians. Listening to their song makes me blood boil.
